Great legs are a beauty asset, but they quickly lose sex appeal when they are stubbly. Since we are quickly moving in to “leg season” here in the U.S., you might like some tips for getting the closest shave. First, soak in the tub or stand in the shower for a few minutes to allow your hair to soften. Not too long though, or your skin will swell up and make your shave not as close as you think it is. Exfoliate your legs first with soap or a scrub and using an exfoliating glove (these are the BEST). Use a fresh blade on whatever razor you love (always a good idea for infection prevention anyway). Shave a couple of times, in a couple of directions, using long, smooth strokes, and finally, follow up with a good body cream.

How can any one shave because then you have to do it alot, the best thing to do is apply soap or shower gel, rub pumice stone in circular motion on your legs, then exfoliate with a soft bristle brush in circular motion. Instead of shaving, epilate using an eppiltaor, or wax but i prefer epilating it is easier to then waxing. Following this I apply a good moisturiser or oil, then bronzer lotion if going for that bronze look.
I am 29years old and I have to shave practically everyday. My pores on my legs aren’t like they used to be. And its very embarassing when i want to be intimate with my boyfriend because even though i just shaved, it feels like I hadn’t. I don’t know what I can do to make my legs smoother longer or just use something to try to make my pores smaller some how. If anyone can help please email me or reply.
Ahahahahha!!
As a guy that shaves his legs and my hair and pores being much different, my wife has decided to follow my lead for softer, smoother legs. First off, I always, always, always shave in a bath in which I have added a few squirts of baby oil. I make the bath very hot and soak for as long as you want. I use either the Aveeno body soap and shave in one or the Aveeno Shave gel for sensitive skin. I apply it with a shave brush….for some reason it seems to work better, getting the hair to stand up more. I use a Gillette Fusion Power, no methodology to the stroke direction making sure to clean the blade out every few strokes. I then soak my legs again for another few minutes and get out and dab on some “Tend Skin” to any problem areas. Lastly, I coat my legs in a combination of a few drops of Lab Series Smooth Shave Oil and Dove Night Regeneration Lotion and put on a pair of tights for 15-20 minutes until the lotion sinks in. Obviously, this takes some serious time and dedication, but my wife is a dancer and she swears I not only have the best built men’s legs, but the softest and smoothest legs she’s ever touched. Secondly, I only have time to do this in the evening before bed, but it’s a great relaxer and it’s nice to pamper yourself a couple of times a week….if you decide to try this, you will not be disappointed!

Great tips! Using a shaving cream before you shave would prolly help as well.

I agree! Someday, I will laser it all off (when is Gilette’s at home laser coming out again? I know it’s in production), in the meantime I can’t handle the pain of waxing, so I shave everyday basically. It takes forever, but is worth it for being smooth each day.
Oh i know, there’s times when shaving is just easier. Honestly if it could all be lasered, that would be lovely! lol
I know what you mean – I love waxing myself too, but I ebb and flow between waxing and shaving – shaving is just so much more convenient sometimes – for me anyway. I might just be lazy. :) Hope you are doing well, D, its good to see you!
Shaving can be good for some people but waxing lasts so much longer and eventually the hair stops growing back. =) After waxing, shaving seems almost primitive.
