Calm Before The Storm

we-are-here-hurricane-ike Sorry I have been quiet for a couple of days – it has been a bizarre week.  I started a totally exciting new job on Monday as the Community Director at the super cool Intelligent Beauty, and have had my nose to the grindstone trying to prove my worth.  Our water well quit working on Wednesday, and spent a couple of days “making due” til the well guy could come (my kicking and beating with a hammer didn’t work this time), and now good ol Hurricane Ike is heading straight for us in Bryan/College Station, so have been prepping, and all the while trying to be a dutiful brand new worker.  Oy!   I hope IB knows that I really am a hard worker – this week hasn’t been great for proving myself.  And sadly, beauty has been far from my mind, as evidenced by how I have looked all week.  At least I finally got a bath last night. :)  And I haven’t been pining away for Fashion week this week, although I can sure say I would rather be there then here right now.

So bear with me for another couple of days.  Keep those folks on the coast in your prayers, And save a teensy little prayer for us – I think all will be well here, but I hope we aren’t out of power for 2 weeks, cause that’s what they are predicting for Houston.  Check on me when you can.  Also thinking of my friend Cailin, and I hope she is well and safe and far away from Houston, I think she is.  And I hope the rest of you Houstonians are safe and dry too.  xoxox

You’re in my thoughts. Being a FL girl, I know how bad those hurricanes can be. I hope you’re well.
