I was discussing gray hair earlier today and I have to point out that having gray hair is not necessarily aging at all. It really depends on your hairstyle. A trendy style can make all the difference in the world! I put this to the test just yesterday. I sat in the mall with a coffee (yeah, one of my more pampering moments) and did a bit of people watching. It was quite amazing. Women with up-to-date styles seemed to look so much younger with gray hair than women with more “traditional” cuts. It seemed that they had accepted the fact that they were getting older and that was fine with them. Whatever makes them happy is what it’s all about.
But if you want to take a quick ten years off your appearance, add a bit of color to your face with a light touch of makeup. Follow that with a new cut from your favorite stylest. Works everytime and you can keep your gray!

You are so right about being happy – when someone feels good about herself, it translates into beauty – much more than anything else. I’m always wrestling with the gray or color question. Recently I’ve been coloring with henna. It’s a lot of trouble, mess, and time, but I love it. Thanks for starting the conversation!
You aren’t alone… I totally made a mess of my bathroom, but I am now a better color than I was in my twenties!
;)
Okay I have dumped that idea. I tried it for a few months. Did it make me look older? YOU BET IT DID!!! I am back to my own red hair and thank the good Lord for that. I feel like me again!!
Glad to help. It certainly makes life a whole lot easier and you see men with silvery hair all the time and it looks good on them. We have to get other women on board to start thinking the same way! Here’s to us! :)
