Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment

elizabeth arden ceramide mascaraThis thin long tube of Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment mascara is brand spanking new from Elizabeth Arden. It came to me along with many other products (including the new Intervene foundation–review to come later) but almost went unnoticed.

What Elizabeth Arden says:

Our first-ever mascara infused with Ceramide Triple Complex and Keravis™ to help lengthen, define and revitalize lashes.

* Lashes are longer and fuller, giving eyes a younger, more vibrant look
* Contains our exclusive Ceramide Triple Complex (Ceramides 1, 3 and 6) plus Vitamins A, C and E to help reinforce and restore lashes’ natural protective barrier
* Contains Keravis™, a conditioning ingredient known to help strengthen and fortify lashes
* Won’t smudge, flake or clump
* Removes easily with Elizabeth Arden All Gone Eye and Lip Makeup Remover
* In two shades, Black and Black Brown

What I thought:

My lashes definitely had more volume and a fuller look. It didn’t smudge or flake, but it was a little clumpy going on. That was easily overcome though, so I didn’t see that as any big deal. My lashes were defined and I also noticed that although this mascara is not waterproof–teary eyes did not make the mascara run at all.

Have you given it a try yet? If so, let us know what you thought.

Sounds like a do-all product! I’m always skeptical because all “no smudge” mascaras smudge on me!

I’ve never even thought to look for vitamins and the like in my mascaras! As far as mascaras go I usually just look for volumizing and lengthening, but now that I think about it I probably need something conditioning as well.
Mascara is the product I experiment with the most, no particular brand has claimed me for its own yet. I really need something that is solidly tearproof though – LashBlast and DiorShow have woefully let me down in that category. There’s nothing worse than having an allergy attack complete with watery eyes and then have your mascara run as well.

Thanks for this review, Shannon. While I’m not currently in the mascara market (thank you MAC Zoom Lash!), something that would be really helpful to me would be “before” and “after” pics for your mascara reviews. You included them in some of your foundation reviews, and that was super helpful in me deciding to try out Elizabeth Arden’s foundation. Following up on Trisha’s comment, I think seeing a before/after shot of these mascaras would really help us out as readers.

Thanks again for all that you do, trying all these things out! What an enviable job! ^_^

I don’t mind a little more length. The longer the better to me. I don’t use waterproof mascara and my eyes tend to water alot maybe i should give this a try since it doesn’t come off whan i tear up.
