Fragrance Review: GUESS by Marciano

I got some new scents to try in the mail this weekend. As usual, my girls fought over who got to open the box. Silly girls. We received GUESS by Marciano, Jessica Simpson’s Fancy, and Paris Hilton’s Fairy Dust. I’ll get to the GUESS first – the reviews for Fancy and Fairy Dust will follow soon.

The GUESS bottle is lovely. It has an interesting shape with a climbing vine and blossom on it. Pretty. I liked the fragrance more than my daughters did, but I think they were blinded by thoughts of smelling like Jessica Simpson. What do those kids know anyway?  It’s a sweet scent, but not too sweet. It has a nice spiciness to it and a spicy scent is what I enjoy best.

Here’s the note breakdown………

Top Note: Star Fruit, Curacao Orange, Cardamon, and Grapefruit

Heart Note: Pink Honeysuckle, Peony, Crystal Jasmine

Base Note: Musk, Vanilla, Dulce de Leche, Blonde Wood

Paul Marciano, CEO of GUESS?, Inc, explains the intention behind the fragrance, “This new fragrance represents the company’s pioneering history by preserving the traditional feminine persona and then combining it with the unexpected.”

I’m going to be picking 4 winners for the Spinlash mascaras soon.  If you haven’t already entered the giveway, click here for information and be sure to enter. Right now your odds of winning a Spinlash are better than 1 in 5!

hmm i wonder if it smells good i like how the bottle looks

We all liked it. It’s nice, has that candy-like smell that a lot of the new scents have, but it’s not too sweet. Smells warm, stayed nice through the day.

The bottle is cool – looks like it’s wearing fishnets, in a way.
