Leech People Think Demi Moore Is An Arthritic Liar, Not A Vampire

Ever since we read that Demi Moore used leeches, we were intrigued.  The Continuum Center for Health and Healing offers “leech therapy” so we thought we’d find out more about it, maybe get a leech stuck on us and see what it’s like. Yes, that sounds odd, but it is not vajazzling, and that is all I ask for in stunt pieces in beauty treatments lately. We wrote them asking for more information and received the following from one of their PhD directors:

Leech therapy is not a beauty treatment…where did that rumor come from?…oh yes, Demi Moore. It is a treatment used for osteoarthritis pain and mobility… If Demi had leech treatment for something, I believe she did not honestly disclose what that was.

Which is confusing because Access Hollywood claimed that “bloodsucking leeches help her keep looking hot.” She talked more about leeches during her interview with Letterman wherein she remarked:

“It detoxifies your blood,” she told Letterman. “And they have a little enzyme that when they’re biting down on you, gets released into your blood and generally you bleed for quite a bit. And your health is optimized. It detoxified the blood and I’m feeling detoxified right now.”

And, not creaky, I guess. The most surprising part of all of this is that if Demi Moore is suffering from osteoarthritis  that would mean she’s kind of… old. That stands directly counter to the theory that Demi Moore is an ageless vampire, and this is sort of depressing.
