Natural Glow by Jergens

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer - Medium Skin Tones - 7.5 OzI have to admit, there was a time when I would spend hours out in the warm sunshine working on my tan. It looked healthy and the color suited me. Now, I know better and can only hope that I didn’t do too much damage to my face by all of hours in the sun.

Yesterday, I spotted Natural Glow by Jergens and picked up a tube. Here’s my review…

-There are two shades to choose from so if you are a blonde with fair skin, you can choose the light, and if you are a brunette like me, you can choose the formulation for medium skin tones
-It absorbs well and it takes very little for your entire face.
-It takes several days to notice a change in the color of your skin, so it should be harder to make mistakes. (At least on your face)

Cons…
-It’s a little heavy on the fragrance. I would have preferred about half that amount.

How does it work… I have good news for you and bad news…

For the face, I guess I used so little that I really didn’t see a difference to the extent I really wondered if it worked at all. And it kind of made my face oily looking and I didn’t like that so I used just a smidgen and it doesn’t have an SPF factor so if I was going outside, I would have to use a second product.

Then I used it on my legs. Before I elaborate, my legs have to be the driest part of me so I really slathered it on. Big mistake. The next day I thought that I had massive bruises from the accident that had occurred early that week. Turned out that the splotches were simply from the moisturizer. I should have used less and then top it up each day.

So at least it works, but you have to be careful how you use it.

I had a problem with this product, too- I used it on my upper arms, chest and shoulders, and broke out in all small bumps. They itched bad, I scratched, and now I have a horrible rash- for over a week now.

just a note about jergen’s natural glow – i do not have sensitive skin at all and try new beauty products all the time, including self tanners (love dove’s!). BUT this week, jergen’s body glow gave me a horrible rash on my legs. really horrible. i am so surprised and disgusted that i googled blogs that have posted on this product to leave comments…ick.
