Do I wear pink more often than a 38 yr old woman should? You bet! And it is always a great thing when I have an excuse to do it, cause you know I am passionate about my pink! This year The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is launching Passionately Pink for the Cure, a fundraising and educational program that will breathe some new life into their mission – finding a cure for breast cancer.
So what do you have to do to join the fun? That’s pretty easy – you pick a day to wear pink, try to get all your friends and co-workers to do the same, and most importantly you make a $5 (or whatever amount feels right to you) to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. After all, this is what its all about – raising funds to support the mission.
I have formed a team for eBeautyDaily, and have chosen Monday, October 16 to participate, and I hope you will join me! I have set a modest goal to raise $1000, and although I may well spend that in supportive pink goodies this month, I am going to make a donation straight to the foundation, where I know my funds will be put to good use. I want to dedicate my effort to my dear, dear friend Selina Colwell, who is the most beautiful woman I know, and is a breast cancer survivor working tirelessly in support of breast cancer eradication efforts. Love you my dear girlfriend!

[...] My friend Christina Jones at eBeautyDaily has formed a team to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She’d like to raise $1000 which I hope some of the readers of Genetics and Health can help her achieve. Don’t forget that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. [...]
It means a mighty lot to me – and plus, I am a pink loving girl! :)
I’m so glad that all of the beauty blogs I’ve been reading have all been mentioning Breast Cancer Awareness month. It’s really impressive to see so many people showing their support.
