We were so excited when we received some of Marc Jacob’s new biscotti perfume! We then realized we didn’t know exactly what biscotti smelt like because biscotti is like a crusty, hardened cookie we’d never touch. But we imagined it would, in some way, remind us of hanging out in a patisserie and we were into that! We spritzed it around the office, and then encouraged people to say what they thought it smelt like. Here are their responses:
It smells like 1999.
Wait, is that Curve, fragrance for men?
It smells like the backseat of my brother’s car in high school, oh God, it smells just like that, oh God, every guy in high school and their sickly cologne.
Seriously, is it Curve? This is too sweet. It’s like Smirnoff ice. It’s like you know you’re going to get a hangover the next day.
It smells like a scent that is stuckĀ in my hair now and I’m getting a headache.
It smells like busboys.
It does not smell like biscotti. It smells like anything that is not biscotti. What is the opposite of biscotti? Cleaning fluid and pork. It smells like that.
Whether this thing smells like the thing is is supposed to smell like on a scale of 1 to 10: 3. Because it is indeed, sweet, and disappointing, which are qualities it shares with biscotti.
