I did a double-take this morning when I saw the pictures of Nicole Richie at the holiday collection launch for her jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960. Nicole has ditched her blond locks in favor of a new rich, brown hair color.
I think she looks amazing! She’s had the blond look going on for so long that this is a bit of a shock, but I think it suits her so much better. She looks very mature and confident and it’s a perfect shade of brown.
Nicole made a joke at the event when someone asked her about her new hair, saying, “I feel smarter already.” The whole “dumb blond” stereotype is a big lie of course, but I must say it was definitely smart of Nicole to go with this shade!

Nicole is also wearing a white strapless dress that hits just below the knee, designed by L’Wren Scott. Naturally all the beautiful bangles that she’s wearing are from her very own line – what a great way to advertise for House of Harlow 1960!
