My hair is really thick so I tend to keep it in a pony tail or barrette. If I don’t, it’s more than I can manage – especially if it’s damp or rainy. I get the bushiest, frizziest hair you can imagine. In addition to the aforementioned ponytail, there are a few things you can do to tame frizzy hair.
- When styling your hair use a little conditioner. It’s been recommended to me to use a leave in conditioner, but even those that you’re supposed to rinse out right away tame frizzies and dry without stickiness. I never have a problem, no matter which conditioner I use for dry hair.
- Use a moisture block or anti frizz product. There are several products on the market geared towards taming frizzy hair. Some work better than others, I like “Frizz-Ease” though I don’t use many of these products any more.
- Have your hair cut in layers. Layers make your hair looks and feel less “thick”.
- Use shampoos and conditioners that moisturize. Deep condition once a week.
- Use a spray or gel on finished hair styles to control frizz throughout the day.
