True Beauty episode 6
Original Air Date: 02/10/2009
Joel make sit back to the house and Chelsea is long gone. I didn’t watch last week, so I’m not sure how or why that happened, but I’m a little sad to see her gone because she was tons of fun to watch on television. Ray feels that once Joel gets out of there, he’ll have it made in the shade. He’s also got it out for Billy and remarks that Billy is all, “supplements and hair gel.” ROFL! Loves it! The pretty boy claws are coming out.
Laura takes us through her getting ready routine and it’s insane to see a person spend SO much time on something. She actually looks better without tons of makeup! Vanessa pops up in a sporty getup (I love her gorgeous ponytail! Her hair is so healthy!) and says that today the contestants think they’ll be judges on their physical fitness level, but they’re actually being tested on how they interact with the teenagers they’ll be working with. The kids will judge them! I can’t wait to see this!
The beauties wake up to sneakers and protein shakes and know their challenge will have something to do with fitness. They meet Vanessa at a football field and learn what they’ll have to do. There are tons of physical challenges and Laura is NOT feeling it. I can’t blame her. Vanessa then introduces the contestants to the teens that will serve as “moderators.” Right away Laura remarks that the kids look like they’d be chosen last in kick ball. To make things better, they’re tipping the scales so the beauties weigh about 10 pounds more than they actually do. LOLZ! No one wants to hear that, no matter how thin they are! Some of the contestants handle it just fine and aren’t fixated by numbers on the scale, but others won’t let it go – LAURA!
Julia is a sweetheart as usual, and Billy rattles on and on about how he’s gained the bulk. Joel is nice and kicks butt at the physical challenges. The guy is amazing, and Ray is ready to take him down once his turn comes. He also starts yakking to the kids about Joel’s temper (even though they don’t ask). Laura tells us she doesn’t workout at all, and it definitely shows. She can get through a few push-ups and pull-ups, and gives the coach a big “whatever!” when the coach says she beats Laura’s scores on a regular basis. Everyone breaks for lunch, and the teens are put into two groups. All of the cool kids together, and the one loner kid sitting by himself. Billy automatically joined the crowd of “cool kids.” Julia waltzes over to the loner and makes small talk, while Joel gravitates to the group. It’s the same for Ray and Laura, the latter igrnores everyone. Ray sits with the cool kids and actually remarks, “that kid’s gonna grow up and be a sniper.” WHAT?! I couldn’t believe he actually said that!
The kids let loose on the beauties, and they’re most critical of Billy. ROFL! I love kids! They aren’t a fan of how lazy Laura is, and one of the kids thinks Julia might be the “evil one” in the pack. Ha! Ray is labeled a try-hard, and who can blame them? They like Joel the most it seems, so let’s see who wins the challenge. In the bottom two are Laura and Ray, which seems about right. I’m ready for Ray to get out of there. I think at this point, it’s only Joel and Julia that have a fighting chance of winning this thing, as we’ve seen gross behavior from the rest of the bunch.
Laura relaxes in the hot tub and chats with Billy, who sincerely hope she doesn’t go home. Ray is having trouble realizing he’s off to the Hall of Beauty. Ray decides to have a fashion show before hitting the Hall of Beauty. His spirit is hilarious, and I am hoping he makes it back. Laura is cute, but her personality is so boring and one note. I get tired of seeing her, and I can’t imagine how painful it must be to live in a house with her. Joel and Ray have had a little bit of a bromance, and Joel doesn’t want Ray to go home just yet. If Laura goes home, that will leave Julia as the only female in the house.
This week the hidden last challenge will involve a homeless man crossing the street, and dropping his things everywhere. Will the beauties stop and help? Laura does! Surprise, surprise! I never would have seen this coming. Ray does the same. I think this is the first time that we’ve seen BOTH people in the final two pass the final challenge.
Laura saves herself by saying she still has a lot to offer (really, what?) and Ray is given the boot. I can’t believe it! I know he said that rude comment about the loner kid, but Laura has made several stupid remarks throughout the series. The judges roll the footage of Ray being a jackass, and it looks like it’s a little touch for him to see.
Next week – Ashton Kutcher’s mom! What?!
