Being an actress is a pretty easy gig (to us mere mortals anyway) and sometimes it means getting something far before the masses. Actress Mena Suvari has already been spotted sporting the Christian Siriano for Payless collection which is slated to hit stores this fall. I am so excited about this collection and taking a look at the preview, I have to say I’m almost impressed. The former Project Runway designer definitely stuck with his element and it translated well despite the less-than-stellar materials Payless tends to use.

Still, Christian is showing them that it CAN be done at an affordable price point – the collection is running from $25-$45, so you can bet that I’ll be taking a look at these more carefully when they land at my local Payless. There’s a strong F/W 08 Rodarte vibe happening on the shoes that pack a lot of hardware (as seen on Mena), the robin’s egg blue platforms might just find a way to my shoe wardrobe. Regardless of what you think about Christian creating a line for Payless, you have to admit – Mena does look pretty smashing in these shoes. If you told me they were YSL or Louboutin, I would believe you. The girls wears them well.
