It seems we aren’t the only ones very, very happy that a full figured girl won America’s Next Top Model. Measuring in at a size 10, winner Whitney Thompson can hardly be considered “full” in the real world, but a size 10 model with mass amounts of work is almost unheard of. There are a small gaggle of girls who make a great living as full figured models, and I’m hoping that Whitney joins that group very soon.
I found this interesting article that examines the stigma of the full figured model. It even mentions that until now, model management company Elite, has never represented a full figured model.
