The Australia Open Tennis Championships youngest winner ever, Bernard Tomic, age 16, had people talking due to his unusual frequent use of sunglasses while on the court.
According to reports, he was asked about it recently and replied, "It’s the sun that’s been killing me the last few months around Gold Coast and Queensland. I’ve started using them a little bit more. It’s good to wear them. It protects your eyes, so it’s good.â€
The record breaking tennis player went on to say, "The sun’s really bad here. You can’t see your ball toss when you’re throwing it. To have sunglasses is pretty good for me, I think."
That’s great to hear! Congratulations to him for being the youngest Australian Open winner ever. Maybe that’s the secret to winning: a nice pair of UV protected sunglasses!
