Now, personally, I love this hat, inspired by the Great Cthulhu, the terror inspiring creature who acts as high priest to the great old one. You can read about him in Lovecraft’s nonfiction work. But I’m no fashion expert. And since, despite working at a beauty and fashion website, we don’t know any “experts” per se, I interviewed Cthulhu to see what he thought of it.
Me: Is this something you’d wear when speaking on behalf of the Great Old Ones?
Cthulhu: Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn
Me: Those aren’t words.
Cthulhu: Ph’gh”s htuh’uiu
Me: I like apostrophes too. How do you feel about the hat’s color?
Cthuluhu: ghhhi”’sghh’s.
Me: I see where you are coming from on that. My editor has a 22 year old daughter and wants me to ask you whether or not you’re single and/or have any job openings.
Cthulhu: thting’aghhr’ss.
Me: Huh. Well, what about the knit? Do you like the knit?
Cthulhu: grittti’ phy tpi qick’r.
Me: I agree with you wholeheartedly.
(Incidentally, this is identical to the way every celebrity interview goes).
