Ok, so our Hollywood Stylish Man feature on David Beckham has garnered a lot of comments from Men who wanted to know(and buy) what boots he was wearing when he officially arrived here in America to work for his million and millions of soccer contract.
So this is the boots in question…. kinda!
Cynthia R, said the boots are probably from John Varvatos which I also assumed it was coz it’s been known that David likes Varvatos collection. So I searched for the boots and found it at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.
Mike claimed otherwise. It’s from another brand……… And the plot continues…
Mike said it’s from Sendra Motor Boots and he found a pair from an ebay site in Germany.
Dom supported Mike by showing us a picture of David Beckham putting on a pair of Sendra Motor boots as a proof.
So there they are. John Varvatos or Sendra Motor. You decide. Thanks to everyone for sharing their sources. I appreciate it, and I’m sure the other readers do as well.
I have studied beckhams famous brown boots very very closely with a very keen eye for detail and can confirm that he is 150 percent definitely wearing the Sendra Brown Mad dog engineer boots, i have since bought a pair of these myself and purchased them from a small store on Kings Road in Chelsea, London, the shop is called R.Soles, they also have a website http://www.rsoles.com which is really reliable and efficient if you need to order online as i did. I have recently checked and they still stock the Mad dog engineer model the Crackled leather engineer and the Black mad dog engineer boots…

Hey, so does anyone know where I could find these Sendra boots in Canada, either Montreal or Toronto? Or is anyone selling a pair size 9.5 us?

Hi, I have these boots and bought them two years ago. Cost £165 and I ordered them from a company called R.Soles that are based in Chelsea, London. They are made by Sendra and the model is called ‘Mad Dog’. The woman who owns R.Soles is called Judy Rothchild. The boots have steal toe-caps and you can also get them in Black. ‘Sendra’ is written on the sole of the shoe. Hope this clears it all up. Nick

Harry: Sorry, I missed this earlier today. The 42/US 8.5 will be fine for you. My problem was/is I’m 9, so it went 42/8.5 to 43/9.5(us at the time). While a 42 will run a tad big, you don’t want your foot slamming into the steel toe, trust me. For some reason the USA gets all the sizes now. I did order a 9 from Alcalas of Chicago, and for some reason the sole and heel were shorter (in height, if recall correctly it’s a different sole) and there was no contrast stitching. So I sent it back. Ordered a Euro 43/us9.5 (euro version), runs a little big but, nothing a insole and thicker socks can’t fix. Hope that helps.
Steve: I’m Eck. The vintage stud kicker P35P05b is sold out. Have your stockist contact PRPS to see if there is any backstock in you size. Maybe your stockist will special order it for you. The GTO is the Kicker, just a new naming system PRPS came up with as of A/W 2008. So it goes like this: Rambler; tight fit, Barracuda; slim fit, GTO; bootcut and finally Impala; relaxed regular fit.

It is the same boot. Check the photos of Becks wearing them out there. If the photo is a fake. It is a damn good fake. The shape and color and style are exact to the one worn by Becks. It’s definitely Sendra. I have not seen anything else like these.
I was trying to find ECK from here? I had some questions about his comment regarding the Beckham p35po5b studded kicker Prps.. How do you know that this is the style number and WHERE would one find these now that it seems NO ONE has them ANYWHERE..ebay,newton,etc.. PRPS isn’t making bootcut anymore except the GTO’s…Any suggestions where to find these ECK?
Really appreciate it! Also huge question the jeans in question are a lighter wash I have the PO2BB’s but dark wash how would I lighten these like the beckham pair? Do you think that he bought those in a medium or light wash? Please respond to all questions..I appreciate your knowledge.

Personally I think the photo is taken before he got his tattoos. Probably when he was a bit less conscious of brand promotion. He’s had the boots for many years very probably pre 98. Also you can see these are the boots in numerous other shots of him on the web. Granted not as clearly, but you can definitely see the toe stiching etc.
Regarding the wardrobe… Personally I don’t think that looks too shabby considering it was probably quite a few years ago.
What does your walk in wardrobe look like?
I also think that David Beckhams wardrobe would be a little more dapper than thing he’s supposed to be sat in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beckham’s had tattoos on that arm since 98, he had them before the long hair and the famous Alice band, he had them before he left Man United for Real Madrid
The pictures of him wearing the boots in the media are from 2007. The picture of him trying on the boots is supposed to be recent. Trust me they are fake, do the research from the photos available on the net.
Also, Beckham wouldn’t be seen promoting anything unless it was official, like the Armani adds etc. There is no way he would have had his picture taken in what looks like a walk in wardrobe, trying on a product he has no official sponsor with. The same way you don’t find him having his photo taken trying on his favourite PRPS jeans
Unless the picture of Beckham trying on the boots are pre 1998 (WORLD CUP YEAR) they are as fake.

Maybe the picture was taken before he got the right arm tattooed. I don’t believe the picture to be a fake.
The picture of Beckham is a FAKE.
If you notice his right arm has NO tattoos on it!
Both of Beckhams arms are covered with tattos.
