farah angsana: indonesian couture

Farah’s multi-cultural background totally shows in her collection. I see a little bit of West Coast, some Indonesia and other Asian influences.

This dress is possibly my favorite. It’s a gorgeous white gown with lots of layered effects.

The draping effect used here is seen throughout her collection. I think it looks really good here, but there’s times where it’s a little awkward for me. This blue is really pretty.

Theres a princess look to this gown, can you see it? The braiding, the pleating of the bust, it’s pretty gorgeous. Red carpet worthy.

Remember when i said there were some questionable things? Of all the gorgeousness in any collection. there’s a couple of things that make you raise an eyebrow. The coffee color here is fantastic, I’m just not into the execution of the idea.

Boiled down: Angsana has some great stuff and there’s definitely a reason she’s pretty well-known over in Europe. This is a good first showing in the US, with some great pieces.
