Favourite Drugstore Cosmetics

The other day, I listed my nine favourite drugstore skin care products. Today I’ll be focusing on drugstore makeup! Don’t think you cannot find wonderful cosmetics at the drugstore! In fact there are quite a number of high quality cosmetics at your fingertips.

So, if you’re on a budget or want to try out new makeup shades, check out the following items!

1. L’Oreal True Match Liquid Makeup ($10.95) – Hands down one of the best drugstore foundations I’ve tried. It blends easily and doesn’t look like you have any foundation on. The key is to get a shade that matches your skin tone. There is a  large selection of different hues in neutral, cool and warm tones to choose from!

2. Maybelline Expert Eyes Twin Brow & Eye Pencils ($2.99) – My favourite pencils for filling in brows!

3. Revlon Colorstay for Combo/Oily Skin Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 6 ($12.99) – Another great foundation to try if you want more coverage. The line has a number of shades in the combo/oily and normal/dry skin formulations.

4. Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencils ($1.59) – Pick up the Pure White shade to use as a quick and easy way to brighten up the corners of your eyes. Just smudge a little on inner corner and/or line your waterline to look awake.

5. Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows ($6.50) – These cream shadows are a great when worn alone or under your favourite eye shadow shades to enhance their colour.

6. Maybelline ColorSensational Lipcolor ($7.49) – A recent addition to Maybelline’s cosmetics line, this lipstick is long wearing, moisturizing and comes in a myriad of shades to suit any skintone and style.

7. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick ($5.19) – Fabulous lipsticks for not a lot of money!

8. Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara ($7.50) – This mascara uses an interesting wand. Formulation is nice and doesn’t clump up lashes. It’s also build-able without looking gunky.

9. Prestige Kohl Eyeliner ($4.29) – Wonderful kohl eye liners that are easy to use, no pulling or tugging on your eye is needed and the it’s long lasting too!

10. SoftLips Lip Conditioners -  Hands down one of the best lip balms on the market.
