This week the winning look on The Fashion Show didn’t really let the hair shine through. It was a sophisticated look that’s super easy to recreate at home and would work great for those with short hair. The hairstyle that really stood out was this sleek ponytail boasting volume at the crown of the head for a simple look that can add to your outfit.

This look is also fairly simple to do at home and works great for summer as it keeps hair pulled back without being just another ponytail.
1. Blow dry hair straight using a round brush to keep volume.
2. Smooth over pieces using a flat iron, if needed.
3. Gather your hair a bit lower than the nape of your neck and secure the ponytail with a hair elastic.
4. Pull ponytail tight so it now sits at the nape, thus creating volume at the crown.
5. Smooth volume if needed with a fine tooth comb and spray for hold.
