I have to favorite beaches ~ Spring Lake, New Jersey, the beach there is amazing, huge waves for great body surfing, great restaurants, and very quaint, old beach town charm. The beaches are clean, uncrowded, and beautiful.
I also love South Seas Beach on Marco Island, Florida. Soft white sand, lots of seashells, beautiful Gulf of Mexico to walk along, peaceful, uncrowded, and on yes, my parents live there! Another fine reason for me to love it there!

My favorite beach getaway would be in Caseville, Michigan where they have a Cheeseburger Festival in August! It’s the closest beach and it’s fun when the festival is going on. They even have a parade where everybody dresses up weird and throw out beads!

My favorite beach getaway is Amelia Island, Florida. It’s a tiny beach resort tucked away in the very northeastern corner of Florida, just a few miles from the Georgia border. The beach is littered with so many different shells, the sea gulls will catch bread tossed into the air, pelicans fly in a straight line and dive for fish, and dolphins play in the water just a couple hundred feet away from you!! I sure miss it! Thank you for the great contest that brought back warm memories!
