Of juicy fashion drama. Paul Smith, OR one of the designers in his camp allegedly flipped a long sleeves design from blogger Robert Hodgin who posted something eerily similar on his flickr account last year. Interesting. If you read Robert’s blog, which I linked to on the second sentence, he patiently compared the shirt to his work. Flipped, magnified and colored it, you’ll see every nook and cranny similarities. Paul Smith (or one of your designers), you naughty boy you.

I must point out, Robert is cool about the whole thing. I hope when Paul Smith finds out about it that he’d do the right thing and refund Robert’s $235 which he paid for the shirt. And maybe 25% of all sales from here on end
. Or just hire him for his next collection
.
So what do you think? Did Paul Smith flip a flock of birds (LOL, sorry couldn’t help it) then claimed it as his own?

i love paul smith’s designs and colors.
owell, i was looking at both pictures, and yeah there’s kind of a similarity, and i dunno if it’s just a coincidence or what.
maybe he could hire him.
Looks pretty similar. I think he should be able to get a job in the design world based off of this alone! I remember my first visit to a Paul Smith store was in Asia. Wow, the overpriced stuff was flying off of the shelves as Japanese and Korean tourists brought stacks of clothes up to the register. Nice stuff. Way over priced, though.
