How much would you pay for bath and body products? $50? $100, if they were top notch? How about $500? The limited edition La Prairie ‘Art of the Bath’ Collection is available at Nordstrom right now for $500. That’s right. Five hundred dollars for bath products.
Though the Art of the Bath collection is special; I’m not sure it’s $500-worth of special. The collection allows you to customize bath products with four fragrance oil blend and four natural oil blends. Enclosed in the kit is a booklet that provides recipes to make powerful aromatherapy products, bath and body oils.

Contents include naturally scented Cellular Bath & Body Oil (13.5 oz.); naturally scented Cellular Bath Foam (13.5 oz.); four fragrance oil blends: Tuberose Gardenia Musk, Oriental Spice, Tiare Flower & Cannabis, and Mangosteen & Cacao (0.5 oz. each); four natural oil blends: Eucalyptus, Patchouli, Lavender, and Lemon Grapefruit (0.5 oz. each); four fragrant votive candles: Tuberose Gardenia Musk, Oriental Spice, Tiare Flower & Cannabis, and Mangosteen & Cacao (1 oz.); a ceramic bowl and mixing spoon; and a booklet with bath recipe ideas.
Though I love luxury products, I’m not sure I could justify that price tag even if I was rich. So what do you think? Leave your comment here and let us know.
This was given to me as a gift and it is FABULOUS! It is hard to say if it is worth every penny, because it just is not something you would by for yourself. It’s indulgent beyond belief. The box itself is gorgeous and after you eventually use all the products, the wooden “separators” can be removed and you can use the box for storing other pretty bits and pieces.
The oils are heavenly and the booklet describes the different ways to mix them depending on whether you want to be energised, relaxed, empowered etc etc.
This makes for a divine gift – although not the most expensive gift I’ve ever received, it’s certainly one of the most decadent. It’s pure luxury so if you have a deserving girlfriend (and we all do), spoil her!
