Former fashion model Martha Lee has created a new accessory collection of reusable totes. The MAKE LOVE NOT TRASH totes are the perfect for the fashion forward recycler. They come in eight styles from the basic tote to the over the shoulder messenger bag.
These affordable bags are not only good for the environment, a portion of sales goes to a great cause. Lee’s mother, Vicki, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Seeing her mother suffering, Lee wanted to do something proactive. Therefore, a portion of each sale of the Make Love Not Trash totes goes to the Alzheimer Association.
Make Love Not Trash tote bags can only be purchased online at makelovenottrash.com. They are economically priced between $15 to $40.
Right now, you can win one of their most popular styles – the Market Essential tote – here at Shopaholics Daily.

Winning is simple. All you need to do to enter is to leave a comment here on the blog about your “Green Resolution” or an eco-tip that you want to share with other readers. Personally, I try to carpool whenever possible and never drive when my destination is within walking distance.
You will be automatically entered into the giveaway drawing with your comment. One random winner will be selected from all the commenters to receive the Market Essential Tote in their choice of pink or black. We will also select two runners up to receive the Make Love Not Trash Promo Tote.
The contest runs through Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:59pm CT. Please only enter once and leave your email address in the appropriate spot so that we can contact you.

I’ve been using rechargeable batteries for years. I also pick up any trash I see when I’m out and about. Parking lots are the worst!
buy rechargable batteries — they’re much better than they were a few years ago
I carry a water bottle with me at all times so I am not tempted to buy bottled water or colas. The pink totes are very attractive.
I reuse plastic baggies by washing them and turning them inside out to dry.

Use tote bags! I’m so sick of going to the grocery store and seeing shopping carts loaded with double bagged plastic bags – come on people totes are even easier to carry then the plastic, it’s good for the enviroment and they aren’t expensive plus most stores give you money back when you use them.
My Green resolution is to compost more kitchen and yard waste so our garden produces more fruits and veggies. Thanks for the giveaway.
My green resolution is to learn to compost and recycle more. Thanks for the chance to win.
We’ve been working hard at re-using everything we can — bags, towels, etc. And I’ve been adding to my kitchen cabinet with cool vintage glassware/bowls, etc., instead of buying new things. They look just SO much cooler anyway!
I really like these totes. When i am walking i bring a paper bag to pick up trash as i walk. Also i stopped buying indivual serving size foods.I buy in bulk, and make the servings myself
I am trying to not buy any products with excessive packaging.
These are so cute! Whenever my family goes grocery shopping we bring tons of reusable bags with us to carry all the food and stuff home. It’s also fun to have a game with the rest of the family — see who can take the quickest showers, see who remembers to turn their lights off when they leave the room, etc. :)
I take my eco grocery bags to the store with me and I turn off the heat whenever I leave the house
I am trying to wash all my clothes in cold water.
My tip that I don’t think a lot of people already use is to consider buying cloth napkins instead of paper napkins. Everyone already does laundry and cloth napkins add a touch of elegance to dinner.
One of our new years resolutions as a family was that we are not going to be using paper plates, cups and napkins because they are so convenient. This is going to prevent a lot of extra garbage in our house. I do love the pink tote.
I love the pink bag! Thanks!
My family has started recycling cans and it is a great way to earn extra money while saving the environment. What a great prize, love to win that bag.
Great bags – my disabled but wonderful wife of more than 39 years would just LOVE the black one – Thank you for this wonderful contest and prize!
This eco-tip
for us is tough,
but we just realized
we’ve got too much stuff!
So for each new ‘thing’
that comes in the door,
out goes something else
that we’ve had before.
The thrift shop, a charity,
family, or friend,
our list of recipients
it has no end.
It makes us think twice
before we get more stuff
because, after all,
enough is enough!
; )
Ah, a classy tote! It would sure beat hauling those ratty paper shopping bags back and forth until they disintegrate!
I’m trying to use tote bags for my grocery shopping.
