It’s a boy who’s going home this episode, and so the bottom three, Ben, Casey, and Frankie all make their way to the judging panel.
Frankie is down and out, so Ben and Casey head back to the house. I’m sort of upset over this, as Frankie had the most personality out of the bunch, imho. None of these kids blow me away when it comes to the catwalk or pictures, so I’ll take whatever fun guy they have. At the house, the remaining contestants get in a little tiff over the guys having each other’s backs. The guys are all excited to see Ben and Casey, while Shannon and Holly both remain cold and bitchy. Give me a break. Her head is so big, I’m not sure how she fits through the house doorways.
Tyson pays a visit to the house, and lets the gang know that Nikki Taylor’s birthday is coming up and the show will be throwing her a birthday. The boys decide they’ll write a hit song for Nikki, and the girls are going to bake a cake. The guys are a bit immature, but that also makes them loads of fun, doesn’t it? Once at the party, everyone surprises Nikki who is rocking this horrible half-up/half-down hair ‘do that reminds me of a little kid who did their hair on their own. The boys song for Nikki is hilarious, to everyone except for Shannon and Holly, of course. Some guy (let’s deem him someone important from the “industry”) has a talk with Perry and agrees that the girls are far too uptight to excel in the world of modeling. I guess by uptight he means they aren’t interested in him? Yeah…we know the type.
On their way to the next challenge, Perry acts up as Holly and Shannon converse, which Shannon finds rude and Perry finds, “very funny.” I found it pretty funny too!
The gang will be modeling for Girbaud for a video lookbook, which will be sent to buyers around the world. The director gives direction to the models and for the first group chooses Holly, Ronnie and Perry. The theme seems to be jealousy, frustration, and a whole pissed-off mood. The only person who gets a bad grade is Holly. The next scene involves the models taking pictures of each other, and Casey and Shannon make the cut for this. It’s sort of boring, as I find Shannon to be incredibly flat. Because the director can’t find a real dynamic between Casey and Shannon, he brings in Perry. Casey has this little camera time and gripes about how he was tossed aside. Maybe if he’d put in some effort and energy, he would still be in the scene. And here he goes again complaining, after the director puts Ben with Holly. After Ronnie gives the suggestion that he should be in the scene with Ben (and this scene is for lovers), the boys go at it. Holly and Ben are cast in the final scene, and there’s a true intensity and sexy vibe to it.
One question I do have is: if Girbaud is sending this out, does this mean our models are being paid for this gig? I sure as heck hope so!
The next morning the gang heads to Bloomingdales with Jennifer and have a mock go-see with someone from marketing. The models have to know the brands, the price, and should also know how else a person could style the pieces. They send the models out to the floor to sell the clothes, but Ben has to stay behind for some reason. Did this woman hear Holly speak? She’s the one who should have been held back! Ben may not have had the best answers, but he definitely kept it real. The marketing woman stands on the sidelines and gawks at the models as if they’re puppy dogs. Good grief! The winners of the challenge were Casey and Shannon, and I think they won fat gift cards to Bloomingdales or something, but they didn’t touch on it. Both had something small in their hands as they cleared out, but who the heck knows.
The next day the models find out they’ll be modeling two vintage looks, styled by the owner of New York Vintage. The goal is to embody the clothing, and if you ask me, everyone does a pretty pathetic job of this. They just look stiff and awkward, which isn’t the goal at all. The second round everyone gets a little better, but I still don’t feel they’re taking on the clothes with the exception of Perry. Does anyone else think Shannon is just plain ugly? Her face is like a bad version of Winona Ryder.
Following the catwalk, the panel once again tries to create a sense of animosity among the models. The only actual accusation is towards Ben when they ask him why he didn’t participate in the Bloomingdales challenge. First of all, he didn’t CHOOSE that, but he also didn’t fight against it. For Shannon’s dull personality, the judges agree that as long as she saves it for the client, she’s in a good place. Ben is labeled forgetful, and they also don’t like his attitude. I can see where they’re going with this, but I also see Ben’s perspective. Ronnie’s walk was a little lame, and overall his face isn’t as strong. Sure he wants it, but do we want to LOOK at him in ads all over our September Vogue? Debatable.
In the bottom three are Ben, Casey, and Ronnie. On the verge of going home, now it’s up to the voters at home.
When they get back to the house there’s a note for Perry to call Amanda. Apparently his girlfriend Amanda is a minor celebrity, or cheating on Perry with a minor celebrity? I’m not quite sure what’s going on here.
My prediction for who’s going home: Ronnie. His look is bland, and his personality is a little dull as well (although maybe not as bad as Casey) and I think people also see this. Casey claims that next week he’ll “give ‘em cocky.” We’ll see!

I agree! No one (on the show) ever ridicules Shannon for being arrogant, when she clearly has this snobby heir to her.
I know people don’t agree with me, but I can’t stand Holly! She sounds like an old woman when she talks!
Ain’t that the truth.
Looks like Shannon and Perry are made for each other. Both are ugly in their own way. Perry is arrogant and carries that hawk like stare that says ‘Don’t f*** with me’ Shannon looks almost like an uglier version of Xena and she’s also arrogant. On an episode where her stomach hurt, she faked it so she could pass. both should get kick off and Holly should pass.
Holly has the best look for a supermodel. Shannon is ugly as heck but they’ll like her because she is tall. Her face looks like a horse!
Ronnie also has a good look. Perry is an arrogant, cocky jerk and is NOT all that. Casey has more of a model look than Perry and I hope he gets to stay. Bye bye, Perry!!
Who is your favorite? I really think Ben and Perry photograph the best, but Holly seems to be the judges’ favorite. Perry is definitely too cocky, and I sincerely hope he understands that that mentality will only take him so far.
Perry is a show off. He thinks he is better than anyone else. Too cocky. He puts everyone down.
