Mally Roncal on Rachael Ray

Celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal paid a visit to the Rachael Ray show this week, to give one audience member what Rachael called a “makeunder.”

Now do we all know what this is? It’s when a person is either stuck with the makeup style of a certain era (the ’80s seemed to take hold of lots of people), or a person who simply wears way too much makeup. What constitutes too much? Well, that’s debateable, but if you’re slapping on more than five products to get ready in the morning, there’s likely a chance that you could downsize your routine.

This was the case with audience member whose sister-in-law had been wanting her to get a makeover the entire duration of their relationship: nearly 13 years! This woman (sorry, but I didn’t take down her name) had some fierce eyeshadow going on and said that on average she’ll wear five shades at a time! Can you imagine?! Mally said there’s no reason for five, and that you should wear two max, that includes your highlighter and your contouring color.

In the end, the woman looked amazing (sans bright berry cheeks) and said she felt as if 10 pounds had been lifted from her face. Hell, it probably had!

See ladies…sometimes less is more!
