While we’re on the subject of wonderful shoes, I just came across these interesting ones:
Mohop Shoes is a small family-owned company in Chicago that hand-makes shoes using Finnish birch plywood, veneers & recycled rubber tires!
The shoes arrive looking like this:
The loops on the side allow for different lacing patterns or ribbons to be used to tie the shoes up. It’s like wearing a different shoe every day of the week!
