So, Monica Bellucci and Sophie Marceau didn’t call each other before the premiere of “Don’t Look Back” and decide who got to wear red. Instead, both toddled down the red carpet in similar shades of rouge, keeping up appearances and acting as though it was no big deal at all in front of the camera.
How sweet.
But the question is…did Sophie (left) or Monica (right) pull off the red dress better?
My vote was totally on Sophie Marceau first. The gorgeous ruby and diamond necklace, the slightly lighter ‘by the beach’ reddish hue, the slightly less structured shape of her dress. She had it in the bag…
Until I noticed one crucial error.
Her shoes. Her shoes are dyed to match her dress. Dyed to match.

Once I noticed the shoes, I took a better look at Monica, decided her polished ponytail was far prettier and the darker shade of red was still quite lovely. No complaints about her diamond necklace either.
So in my mind…Monica won this battle. Your thoughts?
