Much ado has been made in the press about Shiloh Jolie-Pitt (pictured) and how the little girl prefers to dress like a little boy. While most of the articles have a sort of “OMG gender confusion!!1!” tone about them, Shiloh’s own mom sees nothing wrong with it. In this month’s issue of Vanity Fair, Angelina says that Shiloh is the kid who was most like her as a kid: in other words, our very own bombshell also had short hair and dressed like a dude for awhile. However, the most classic line was one this one:
Shiloh dresses like a little dude. Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style. It’s how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes (regular) suits. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.
I have never been to Montenegro, because I am not a globe-trotting Oscar winner slash activist, but I am taking her word on this one. Does this mean I can start referring to Samantha Ronson as a “Montenegro-style DJ?”
My family is from Montenegro so i go there every year on holiday. I can confirm that this is complete bullshit! If anything, it’s opposite; the women there go out of their way to get dressed up and most wear heals to get milk from the corner shop!
I’m not sure where angelina jolie went in Montenegro. It’s possible she went to some secluded village in the mountains where the women were dressed more plainly :S VERY BIZZARE!

Stop trying to make Montenegro fetch. I believe the term you’re looking for is “tomboy.”
Can you wear clothes this expensive and still be a tomboy? She should at least be tousled or grass-stained :)
