It’s the show that will chronicle what it takes to win the coveted Miss America crown, and hopefully, all of the drama that comes with it. I’ve seen ads for the show online, in malls, and on buses, so I’m hoping the viewership is a large one.
The show starts with all 52 contestants and since the pageant takes place at the end of January, I’m guessing it will be a short series of 5-6 episodes. There was a show on MTV a couple of years ago that chronicled the relationship between Miss Teen America, Miss Teen USA, etc. AFTER the crowns where won, but I’m thinking the relationship prior to the win is far more interesting.
TLC’s own site has tons of info on the show, so check it out if you’re interested in getting to know the contestants prior to the show airing.

I would love to see this show really matter -it would be nice to be able to vote for a miss america that I like. You only show about 8 girls each episode. How can we choose when we don’t see them all? And, why can’t the people’s opinion matter – like in American Idol? That would really be a welcome change.
