Many aging men in their 70’s and 80’s have used vaseline hair tonic religiously and seem to have a nice head of hair as a result. If you see an older gentleman with lots of hair…ask him if he uses Vaseline hair tonic…you may be surprised with the answer. Can be used as a hot oil treatment too.

For me it was menopause that started the process of more hair loss than I’m used to, couple that with the fact that my family has a tendency to grey early and my hair is a hot mess right now! And as most women with Menopause can attest to, the severity of the hot flashes tend to make us want to pull our hair out! ;)

I’ve always had fine hair and very thin hair, and was used to see a lot down toward the shower drain, but it was my hair dresser who really took notice and told me it was time to be more pro-active about my thinning hair in order to prevent additional loss. I also used to chemically straighten my hair when I was younger, and my current hair dresser put a stop to that and that has helped tremendously. I also take ‘hair’ vitamins, massage my scalp more often and use hot oil treatments frequently to keep my hair in optimal condition which also aids in slowing down hair loss.

I’ve always had thin, fine hair but after menopause, I have patches of hair missing on my scalp. I leave wads of hair all lover the house. My sink was just stopped up recently and I tried lots of products to unstop it. I finally pulled on the stopper and there was a huge wad of hair stuffed in it.
