Over the River and Through the Woods

It is that time of the year. You know the time of the year when wayward adult children return en mass to visit family for Thanksgiving. To sleep in their childhood bedrooms and wonder how it is they sprang forth from these people. Yesterday my husband, myself and one screaming toddler, made our yearly trek. After 13 hours in a mini-van and more cows than I ever needed to see, I was done. Who thought this was a good idea anyway?

So this morning, even after too many cups of coffee and my son being occupied by doting grandparents, I was hurting. I mean I looked rough. Like a woman of 50 who has been smoking and tanning since the age of thirteen. Thank goodness I had the foresight to bring Origins Make A Difference Skin Rejuvenating Sheet Masks with me. They are really ingeniously packaged; perfect for travelling. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this sooner? After a relaxing bath, which I don’t think I have had since my child was born, I used this and let me tell you. My skin looked like I had had 12 hours of sleep instead of four. Now you would never be able to tell that I have had nothing but Travel Plaza crap and coffee for a day. It will make your skin feel firmer but not tight. It’s also really moisturizing unlike many other masks.

This isn’t from Origins new Organic line, but it is still made using the finest natural ingredients and no animal ingredients( except for cruelty-free honey and beeswax). Which is good because I will need something that is good for me this week. For some reason I don’t think that my mother-in-law’s eye roast will be organic. I will break every personal rule I hold myself to this week but one. I will eat meat, drink “pop”, eat too many cookies and let my son watch TV. However, I will do my best to take care of my skin. Priorities a little screwed up? Yes indeed. Gotta love the Holidays!

I love the recommendation for the travel-friendly sheet masks; thanks!

Since Im way too lazy at night to actually wash my face, rubbing a good for your skin cleansing cloth over it allows me to wallow in my lazy-ness AND have clear skin. I will definitely have to try these Origins sheet masks.

Also, I may be prejudiced as a Buffalo-bred girl, but you don’t need quotes around “pop”. Its just pop-no soda for me!
