Poll: Does Kristen Wiig’s Outfit Remind You Of I Dream Of Jeannie?

Last night was, as they call it, the star-studded premiere and after party for the new season of Portlandia. Amongst the many stars, which of course included both Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen, the hilarious Kristen Wiig was also in attendance.

Although I wouldn’t expect Wiig to rock some overly chichi getup that would find her on a “worst dressed” list, I am relatively confused by this particular choice. The only thing I can think of when I look at this is I Dream of Jeannie. I can’t image I’m alone on this one.

First of all she has the genie pants, but instead of that pale pink, Wiig’s are black. Secondly, she has that part shrug, part caplet situation on her shoulders. Once again, there is no pink insight, and Wiig’s is sweetly tied across her chest, but still I can’t help but picture Jeannie and her submissive “yes master” ways. I also can’t help but wonder how many seasons a remake of I Dream of Jeannie would last in today’s society.

As for the leopard print top, I’ll just plead the fifth and move on to something else. However, I do have to say her nail color choice against all those dark colors is quite stunning. I’m over here coveting it and quite obsessively so. What do you think?
