It looks like Lifetime’s battle with Bravo for Project Runway paid off. The season 6 debut got its highest rating since it’s debut and it also gave the channel its highest ratings ever. In case you missed episode 1 of Project Runway, it will air again tonight at 11/10pm CST.

On another note, I’d like to add, can you believe we’ve had six seasons of Project Runway?! The worst part is the show keeps viewers hooked, but this seldom materializes as viable work for the winner or contestants of the show. The only winner to show real commercial success thus far is Christian Siriano who has a makeup line at Victoria’s Secret and a fall shoe collection for Payless. Of course, this is Christian we’re talking about (Mr. Fierce, himself!), so I have reason to believe it’s his stamina and personality that got him these gigs, not the fact that he’s a Project Runway winner. What do you think?
