I chose Kevin next because he sort of looks like a Backstreet Boys reject. The hair filled with product…the tank top. Come on.Interesting enough Kevin is the cousin of casual designer Susana Monaco (whose drop waist skirt I picked up at a sample sale for $5 about three summers ago), and worked alongside Monaco before launching his own line.
Now I’m a fan of anyone who can do simple pieces made of luxurious fabrics, and Monaco’s line does just that. Would I say any of it is groundbreaking or belongs in this sort of competition? No. But I’m hoping that working with such simplicity bored Kevin to death and he’s going to take the frustration out on some completely wacky pieces.
