For Rachel Zoe, fur (real or fake) has always been in fashion. How the girl has managed to escape PETA is beyond me, but I have to admit that every time I’m in a vintage store, I make a beeline for the furs. Fur just adds that eternal sense of glam that we all (or most of us) crave. You can’t wear it when it’s raining or snowing out, but it’s perfect for transition seasons just as the leaves have started to turn and you can wear a long sleeved T-shirt out, but need a little something to keep warm.

We all know Rachel’s line for QVC debuts this weekend, and it will be packed with faux fur, but have you noticed faux fur is everywhere for fall? The October issue of People Style Watch is chock full of ways to wear fur and today’s Who What Wear is telling us to go buy faux fur now! What do you think? Is the Zoe-ster single-handly responsible for bringing back fur? I think I’d have to say yes. Rachel has brought us back to loving glamour and not being afraid to show up to court in a bright pink dress (as long as you aren’t on trial, of course). I know for myself, she’s made me bring glamour back into my every day life. I used to think why bother getting dressed up if I’m just around the house, now I think, why NOT get dressed up? I have fabulous things I work hard to have, so why save them for something “special?”
Will you be wearing fur this fall and winter because of Rachel?

As long as the fur is faux, this is something to enjoy. However I do worry that the trend will extend to certain shallow beings putting real fur back on the “acceptable” list. If this were to happen, the number of animals that will lose their lives cannot be underestimated. I sincerely hope that Zoe won’t have blood on her hands because of this.
gross. fur is disgusting
