Rupert Sanderson for Karl Lagerfeld S/S 2010

For the second season in a row, Rupert Sanderson is collaborating with fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld. The Autumn/Winter 2009 collection was so well received that they are doing it again for Spring/Summer 2010.

In this new collection, Rupert re-interpreted two of his top-selling styles — Asteroid and Finesse. Giving the shoe a more modern, almost futuristic appeal, he designed a geometric heel inspired by Italian architect Gio Ponti. With the Asteroid, the ankle straps loop around the sole and are bolted in place for a dominatrix touch. This allow the top portion of the shoe to be interchanged.

These shoes are created in an array of colors and materials, including soft ice-white suede and metallic mirrored silver leather. They fit right in with Lagerfeld’s “futuristic rock goddess” collection.

I love the new style for womens. The more straps the better. I have seen a lot of this style begin worked by women with their shoes in Utah!
