Tonight the CW brought us a recap of Stylista’s first season thus far. The sure has been fun, but it’s hardly replaced Project Runway as the Wednesday night go-to.

I think the main reason I’m not feeling the show as a whole is because it’s so obviously staged. Yes, I know, it’s reality television and nearly all reality television is fake these days, but this one is especially cheesy. Not as bad as America’s Next Top Model, but I’d say it’s pretty close.
We have Anne Slowey, who is a REAL editor at a REAL magazine. Why is she selling herself short as this scary boss? It makes a mockery of the fashion industry. If that’s what we wanted the show to do, I think we could make it far more campy. CW tries to portray the show as somewhat real…and how they could think the audience is so stupid is beyond me.
So…we know it’s fake. My question to you is, does it bother you as much as it bothers me? Sound off, please!
