Fun way to start the week: I’ve been tagged for a meme!

My super-duper pal Jennifer from Offbeat Homes has tagged me with the 7 Random Things meme. Have you gotten this yet? I’ve gotten tagged before, but have never actually done it (except on MySpace). But since I love her so, I’m all over it here at The Lounge, so here we go:

Random Thing #1 - I’m a lefty. And lefties are cool as heck. ‘Nuff said.

Random Thing #2 - I’m a Cancer, which translates into me being a giant mushpot who tries to always keep the peace, please everybody, and cries at the drop of a hat. But I’m also loving, empathetic, and intuitive. Nothing, and I mean nothing, means more to me than my family.

Random Thing #3 - I’ve written a novel, a women’s fiction (okay, Chick Lit) book that was a ton of fun. That was my “learning experience” novel. I am now working on a Young Adult novel (yay!) that I will get published no matter what. My absolute 150 million% dream is to be a novelist – and I will make it happen!!

Random Thing #4 - I’m obsessed with Days of Our Lives. Have been for years, will be forever.

Random Thing #5 - Besides being a novelist, my other dream job would be a Soap Actress. Because on soaps, everyone pretty much hooks up with everyone, and you’re bound to smooch a mega-hottie at some point in your travels. Sign me up!!!!

Random Thing #6 - If I could pick the brain of any celebrity or public figure in the world, it would be Oprah, hands down. That woman is brilliant, inspirational and real. She epitomizes what it means to be successful – humanitarianism, a big heart, a Chicago penthouse, a vacation home in Hawaii…and – hello! – a great shoe wardrobe!!!

Random Thing #7 - I am a magazine addict. I have over a dozen subscriptions, PLUS buy more almost every time I’m in the checkout lane. It might be something I need to get treated someday. We’ll see.

So, there you go. 7 Random Things about moi. Now, I’m supposed to spread this on, tagging more people. But the way this thing has been going around lately, I’ll betcha you’ve all been tagged a lot lately. Thanks again to Jennifer for seeking me out. She’s a great friend. We mutually respect that even though life is nuts and we don’t talk as often as we’d like, we’re still always “there” for each other – even if just in thought. It’s great to have friends like that, isn’t it????
