Joy

Something so silly, maybe to many of you, but to me at 8:30 this morning something I had been anxiously awaiting to happen…despite all of my fears since losing my last baby 12 weeks inutero in January, this precious little life gave me a swift kick. I wondered for a minute if it was just a muscle twinging and what not, but throughout the day a little certain someone was kicking my butt…or belly.

For those who have known me for a long while through my other blog, you know that this moment was the best moment I have felt in almost a year. Strangest of all is that this was the time last year that I found out I was pregnant with the last baby. Maybe this little one is just trying to let me know that I have nothing to worry about….at least until it is a teenager.

thu–when they are super tiny–no it feels like butterflies in your stomach. As they grow and get their feet up in your rib cage and rest on your lungs, it can be a little uncomfortable but it really is the neatest experience to interact with your unborn child.

That’s great news, Shannon! I love those early butterfly flutters and gentle taps :) (It’s the 8 months pregnant kicks in the ribs that I wasn’t too fond of!)
