I think that the summer hat is a completely underrated accessory (maybe I’ve mentioned this before…I’m really serious about it!) To encourage women who may love all of the gorgeous hat styles but have not yet purchased one for themselves, I am creating a list of the top 10 occasions and places where you could wear your new hat. I do think that wearing a fashionable hat just makes you feel a little bit more fabulous…why else would everyone get so excited about the Kentucky Derby? So go pick out your favorite hat and start putting together your outfits to wear for these activities!

Wear your hat while:
- relaxing under the hot sun at the beach
- cheering for your favorite team at a baseball game
- going for a ride in a convertible with the top down (make sure to hold on to your hat!)
- drinking a pint at a local beer garden
- eating brunch with your best friends in a restaurant with outdoor seating
- hiding your tears at a summer wedding
- walking to your favorite gelateria or ice cream parlor
- taking a stroll through local botanical gardens
- discreetly people watching on a bench in a busy plaza
- shopping for outfits to wear with your favorite hat
