It’s countdown until the new fashion reality series The Fashion Show becomes the mainstay of our Thursday night routine courtesy of Bravo. I know there’s a lot of talk of The Fashion Show versus Project Runway, but I have to say that I’m more excited about this debut than I am about seeing what Lifetime does with PR.

I’m not sure if many remember, but a few years ago Isaac Mizrahi had a short-lived talk show on the Style Network. He interviewed actors, talked fashion, and even gave us periodic glimpses into his work process when it came to his haute couture line as well as his collection for Target. I know some can’t take Mizrahi’s rather large personality for long, but on his show he was kind, positive and very charming. I’m hoping he brings that same authenticity to The Fashion Show. While PR might have Heidi Klum, she doesn’t have the fashion skills that Mizrahi has packed into his 20+ years in the business and she also doesn’t have the personality to keep us engaged for long.
