Winter Scarves bring Spring Fashion

So during the winter season everyone was wearing scarves, even if they lived in a warm climate. I would walk down the street in January with the temperature well in the 70s and see women wearing scarves covering their whole bodies. I do have to admit, I did buy one or two scarves to indulge in this year’s trend.

However, how do you transition this very bulky and very warm trend into the Spring season? Good question! Let’s take a look.

Choose Good Colors

You wouldn’t wear a sunny yellow scarf during the winter season, unless you were choosing to add a punch of color to your outfit in the winter; would you? Winter colors, like grays, browns, and blacks work October through February, so go the opposite direction during the Spring, try the bright colors, the yellows, the hot pinks, the oranges.

Try something like the
Giorgio Armani Silk Lattice Scarf for $285.

It is about 26″ X 75″ and is made of woven silk.

Buy a Scarf in a Good Material

Winter materials, like wool and cashmere work when it’s well below 40 degrees, but step outside wearing a cashmere scarf in 70 degree weather, you’ll break a massive sweat. Try a silk or cotton to rev up the “cool factor.

Take a look at this Ferragamo Aroma Silk Scarf

This scarf is orange with multi-colored flowers and measures 35″L x 35″W. It is $295.

Wear a Scarf with a Cute Top

Just like big jewelry one year, the scarf can be a good “statement” piece in an outfit. Make this your statement piece for the season. Wear the scarf with a sleeveless shirt or a three quarter sleeve shirt. It’ll be awesome!

Check out this scarf, Vento Plaid Stole from Juicy Couture it is the perfect statement scarf. It’s made of linen, a perfect spring material, has some red and brown in it and measures 72″L x 39″W. It is $85.
