The Earl and Countess of Wessex have added a baby boy to their family!
Sophie gave birth today, December 17, by C-section at the Frimley Park NHS Hospital in Surrey. The baby boy was born at 4:20 pm and weighed 6 lbs, 2 oz. He is the eighth grandchild of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, and eighth in line to the throne. His 4-year-old sister, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, is now ninth in line, and his aunt the Princess Royal is now 10th in line.
There’s no name released yet. The baby will not be titled “His Royal Highness”, but will take the title of Viscount Severn.
The proud father has described his son as “small, cute and cuddly”, and that both mother and son are doing very well.
Our congratulations and warmest welcomes to the new baby!
