If you take a look inside my closet you’ll notice a lot of my clothes fall into the classic, go-with-anything colour palette of black, white, greys, dark blue with splashes of red (usually accessories). I have to say, you really can’t go wrong with any of those colours because they go with every other colour and of course, each other.
Let’s say, tomorrow is Casual Friday at your office or you’re meeting your friends or significant other for a late lunch and cocktails. You don’t want to look too laid back but you don’t want to be totally dressed up either – so, what do you wear? Well, I pulled together a pretty simple look and it’s quite affordable too!

Start off with this crisp white Sateen Roll Up Button Shirt ($24.50) with 3/4 length sleeves from Old Navy. This is a piece every woman should have in her wardrobe as it’s versatile and can be dressed up or dressed down as it’s shown here.
Next up, put on a pair of dark blue Old Navy Trouser Jeans ($34.50). These are so figure flattering and perfect for work or casual days. The darker the wash of your jeans, the slimmer you’ll look! 
Since it’ll be Fall soon, this Old Navy Sweater Knit Swing Coat ($39.50) would work really well if you get a bit cold. For warmer days, go without or wear a thin cardigan or a blazer.
Now that you have a pretty basic yet fashionable outfit on, you can amp it up with fun shoes and accessories! My favourite colour is red so I chose this really cute Sabina Orchid Hobo ($199) from Urban Outfitters. It’s huge, slouchy and it’s made out of leather – perfection!
For shoes you can either get a little wild with these fun Shock and Awe 1 Pumps ($90.95) by Naughty Monkey or add another splash of red with Open Toe Josette Pumps ($79) by Jessica Simpson. Either one will work for this outfit. You can also throw on a pair of booties or ballet flats if you wish.
For jewelry, you can wear simple diamonds or gold or silver jewely. But if you want to add a little more drama, this Triple Bead Strand Necklace ($5.80) and Abby Flower Ring ($4.80) from Forever 21, will do the trick.
This is definitely an outfit I would wear to meet up with my friends or to work. It’s chic, fun and not at all boring.
