Let it be known, “Desperate Housewives” stars are two things:
1. Happy to have their roles
and
2. Have about as much idea what’s going on in the storyline as we do. They just find out a little but earlier.

Beau Mirchoff, who plays Drea de Matteo’s son, Danny Bolen, is no different.
“You know, I am just happy to be part of the show right now because I don’t expect to be back next year,” Beau told the New York Post. “I kinda hope to go out with a bang! Like get gunned down by the police, go down in a hail of bullets! That would be awesome.”
He wasn’t told anything about the Bolen mystery, either.
“Pretty much nothing. And we still don’t. All I was told about my character was that he was 18 years old, brooding, intense and Italian. Then when I got the part I learned we were on the run from something, but they wouldn’t tell us what or who.
“They keep us in the dark with pretty much everything, which makes things a little difficult, so we made up our own back stories.”
Until the Bolen mystery is solved — which I think at this point we can assume they’ll only last one season, Applewhite-style — Beau’s enjoying/biding his time. He didn’t have much in the way of spoilers, but said that the plane crash episode might not even be the best of the season.
“It’s amazing the sets and all the work that goes into making something like that come together on screen. That episode is great, but the one after is even crazier — it’s got a lot of time changes and stuff.”
