Bluetooth Headsets: To Wear Or Not To Wear?

bluetooth-headset.jpg

A friend of mine on Plurk asked,

“What’s your take on bluetooth headsets? I wanna go hands-free but don’t want to go around looking like a dweeb. Would you actually walk around wearing bluetooth headsets?”

I know for a fact that a lot of people use bluetooth headsets while driving. But would you actually walk around the streets with a bluetooth headset?

There’s a lot of fashionable bluetooth headsets going around and I could name a few… but talking to yourself while walking would probably give people an impression that you’re looney :P

Or even worse… Bluetooth headset while on a date? (see image above)

as long as both you and your date wear bluetooth headsets on your date, it would be alright *lol*

If it’s more convenient wear it :D just remove it on those occasions when it needs to be removed [i.e. in church]

I think it’s fine to wear them while driving or otherwise in transit (even walking around), especially for those who receive a lot of calls. However, I think it’s rude to wear one while you’re interacting with someone else (like the date scenario). I’ve been out for dinner with people and they’ve worn the headset the entire time. Bad form!
