Christmas is Almost Here!

Hey Desperate Housewives fans, I just realized that Christmas is coming around the bend SOON and you know what that means?  There’s only a few more days to order cool Desperate Housewives’ gifts for me on Amazon! ;)

So I thought I’d take this opportunity for any of my friends out there listening or anyone looking for presents for DH fanatics like myself to tell you my list that I checked twice.

(**Note: I have been quite naughty, but only in a fun way…so I still deserve gifts!)

First on my list of what I want for the holidays is:

Desperate Housewives - The Complete First Season

This DVD set sounds great with all the extras they promise…hehe…and it’s a must have for a fan like me…nudge nudge wink wink hubby!

Next, for those of you with smaller budgets we have a must have calendar:

Desperate Housewives 2006 Wall

Nothing beats ringing in the new year than with a sexy housewives’ picture on top!  I DO need a new calendar and this one would fit perfectly above my desk!

Now this next gift would be fantastic for a fan who is also into women’s studies or like myself in Family Studies:

Welcome to Wisteria Lane : On America\'s Favorite Desperate Housewives (Smart Pop series)

A collection of essays put together in a stylish looking book:
“Book Description
As the hit television show Desperate Housewives continues to seduce viewers with its outrageous humor, absorbing mysteries, and deliciously naughty images of suburbia, this collection of essays examines the program’s appeal and why it has struck a chord with modern women. Critics, including bestselling chick-lit authors Beth Kendrick, Julie Kenner, and Shanna Swendson, address key areas in essays such as “Why American Heroines are Best When They’re Bad,” “The Everywoman in an Apron,” “Edie Brit as Queer Critique,” and “The Rebirth of Irony.” Not a typical fan guide, the essays deeply explore the show, answering the question on everyone’s mind: Just what is it about this show that has America so enthralled?” from Amazon Welcome to Wisteria

Now let’s not forget our next two gifts, music from the show, Desperate Housewives CDs:

Desperate HousewivesDirty Laundry [From the Desperate Housewives Soundtrack]

On Amazon you can listen to little snippets of most tracks and these cds seem great!  The first CD has songs by great stars such as KD Lang, Shania Twain, Gloria Estefan, and my favorite Macy Gray.  These would make great stocking stuffers!

And who can resist wearing Desperate Housewives’ merchandise?  You can get t-shirts, sweatshirts and even tank tops I think. :)

Desperate Housewife Womens Scoop Neck T-Shirt

Last, but definitely not least we have the perfect gift to bring out on cold winter nights to play by the crackling fire:

Desperate Housewives Dirty Laundry Game

I have to confess something.  The day after Thanksgiving I made my husband go shopping with me and trek out all the way across his hometown of Spokane, Washington to the Kmart in the Valley to get the Desperate Housewives game.  I bought it thinking it would be wonderful and perfect to review on the site only to find out that there are two different Desperate Housewives games out there and I seem to have gotten the wrong one!  I was expecting the above game where you each pretend to be a Desperate Housewives character…but what I got was one where you had to figure out each other’s secret that had nothing to do with the show.  It’s not a total loss though because the game box is great looking and the board has wonderful pictures of the stars on it, but I was pretty disappointed.  I REALLY want the mysteries of Wisteria Lane game because it sounds so much better but I doubt my husband will buy it for me because I already have one Desperate game…boohoo…oh well!

So that’s my list!  If you’re looking to send something to your sweetie through Amazon before Christmas you better get a move on because December 19th is the last day to order stuff and have it guaranteed to be there for Christmas through regular Shipping.

Happy Holidays!
