After so many stories about the Desperate Housewives being too thin it’s nice to hear this story. Apparently Eva Longoria who plays Gabrielle Solis has gained some weight recently. After seeing loads of pictures of her gorging herself at restaurants it doesn’t come as a big surprise though…Wouldn’t it be fun if she were pregnant? Maybe that’s why she’s gained weight and been feeling so hungry!
That would mean that Gabrielle could also get pregnant on the show, which in the last episode they said would be difficult! YAY!!!
By the way, I find it a little hard to believe that someone could have a little fall like Gabrielle did that would make it impossible to bare children. They do this on all sorts of TV shows…It’s really cliché…the pregnant woman falls, loses the baby, can’t carry babies anymore and looks for a surrogate.
It reminds me of the NBC daytime drama Passions a little too much. Next thing we know if they continue to use the same old storyline they’ll hire a sexy surrogate who will be drugged and shoved in a closet when she’s about to be implanted and Gabrielle’s arch nemesis will get their baby. (Maybe the Nun? hehe) THEN, Sister Mary Bernard will think the procedure didn’t work and will drug Carlos in order to sleep with him and get pregnant. Little does she know that she’s already pregnant with the original attempt at surrogacy! After that they’ll find out that she’s carrying twins…one that’s Carlos and Gabrielle’s baby and the other! The other one is Sister Mary’s with Carlos! hehe
Ok, so I doubt this would ever happen on Desperate Housewives, but I wish they had more original storylines for Gabrielle. ANYWAY…I was talking about Eva gaining weight…here’s the article where she talks about it:
STUNNING Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has admitted she has put on weight, but doesn’t care.
Sizzling Eva, who plays Gabrielle in the TV series, thinks she has piled on the pounds because of her boyfriend, French basketball star, Tony Parker.
In an interview with New Magazine, the 30-year-old star said: “I think I’m putting on weight because I’m in love and I don’t need to try any more.”
But she didn’t notice the weight gain until it was pointed out to her by the Desperate Housewives team.
She said: “I was getting upset that nothing would fit. I thought the costume designers were doing it because they wanted Gabrielle to be sexier.
“Then they measured me and said: ‘No, you’ve got fatter!’”
But Eva isn’t taking desperate measures to lose the weight by pumping iron in the gym or starving herself on a crash diet.
“I’m always eating,” she said. “I’m really hungry right now.” via EZboard
