Gale Harold brought a fresh comedic touch along with some nice romantic moments to Desperate Housewives. He also delivered a number of new viewers. I am one of them. I think he should definitely stay! He a talented actor who will have his own show eventually.

For me I'm not big on watching tv.It has to something that is really good or have an actor I really respect Gale Harold is one of those actors i respect. As for the show I don't think I would watch it without him. There are some things that are okay. So I would like for Gale to return to finish the storyline.

Wow. So many comments! Gale Howard was a great character, indeed. We'll see what happens there. We all know Marc Cherry is always full of surprises. :)

Let me address one thing about Desperate Housewives and the show's viewership.

Yes, it is down, but there is good reason for this. You have to remember that there are more and more channels on (it seems, everyday). Many shows have such a small (but faithful) viewership that they don't even manage to make it to the Nielsen ratings list. Desperate Housewives is still in the top 10 as far as network shows go -- so there is little to no danger of any cancellation in the near future.

I read a lot of posts about "if [this person/that person] leaves, I'm not watching anymore". People come and go, for whatever reason. I know that casting cuts for guest stars have been cut, but there were a LOT of guests on the show. I'm sure there is room for Jackson to come back. As far as a "guest star" goes, it could be anyone. Anyone who utters more than three full lines in Hollywood garners billing on the program, and earns "guest star" status. This could be a hypothetical someone in a grocery store with a rumor about Gaby, a customer being catered for by Bree, or as we've already seen in the 100th episode, someone like Eli Stone. That, and big actors make big money. Lesser-known actors make, well -- less. With Edie leaving the show, Gale Howard fans might be in for a good surprise -- so stay tuned just in case.

As for the show and whomever comes and goes -- I'm stuck with it until the end.

This is not a blast to any of you who like Gale Howard, by the way. He is a terrific actor and was a great asset to the show. Maybe he will be again. Like I said -- with Marc Cherry and those wacky writers, you never know! :)

I, too, would love to see Gale Harold back on the show as long as he's well enough to be back. I have my fingers crossed!

I miss Gale Harold. I want him either back on DH or on his own show. I know the role of Jackson does not take full advantage of his talents so if he returns I would hope TPTB would wise up and use his fine nuanced acting abilities. Or give him a show of his own that does. Just bring him back!

Marc Cherry announced at the time of this season that he did the 5 year jump in time to bring a freshness to the show.
Gale Harold was the freshest thing to hit, an extraordinary actor who it seems from all of the boards has a great number of fans including the new ones who have watched the show and are glad for his presence.
It would be a mistake to let him go.

Gale Harold is essential to DH's success. The show has lost steam since his departure. The stories are flat and lack luster and border on idiocy. I'd also like them to use the gay couple as being more key players in the show. They always bring a laugh and add spice to an ever drab show.
